Production of the MAR began in 1971 with between 1000-1500 produced over the years and they are considered an excellent Trails bike by all that knew them in the day. Andrews went on to win 2 European Championships and 3 Scottish Six Day Trials mounted on his Ossa. It was an effective Trials Bike delivering smooth power and sharp handling traits, common characteristics of all Mick Andrews developed bikes for the different companies he rode for. He was FIM European Trials Champion in 19 (The series became FIM Trial World Championship in 1975) and is a five times winner of the Scottish Six Days Trial. Mick Andrews was the famed English International Motorcycle rider of the 60’s. He was to develop the model into what would eventually become the Mick Andrews Replica (MAR).
